Overseeding is an optimized seed mix. It can be tossed by hand and is a great option for minimal patchy areas on your lawn or yearly upkeep. Coating the area this way can force more grass growth, preventing weeds in its tracks. However, in most cases, if a lawn is dry and patchy in general, removal with sodding or hydroseeding is the best way to go!

This would depend on how many square feet we’re installing. Generally, an average size lawn in Ottawa can be completed in about half a work day. We almost always have your lawn complete within one full day, unless it is over 3000 square feet. In that case, we will work consecutive days until it is completed – we don’t leave you hanging!

Included in our cost of re-sodding is:

• Rototilling or the removal and disposal of your old lawn.
• A minimum of 3 inches of a premium organic residential screened topsoil.
• Sod installation within 24 hours of it being harvested from the sod farm.
• The setup of your sprinkler system immediately after the installation.
•  Watering and maintenance instructions.
• Minor grading and evening of the new topsoil

*Major grading and extensive changes in height, slope, or elevation is not included in base pricing, however we are happy to provide this service upon request.

We require a 40% deposit to place your project in our installation queue. The remainder is due upon completion of the project, once you’re ecstatic about your new lawn!

The likelihood of an accident is very low, given our professional service and high standards, however we are fully insured as a business and our workers are individually covered through private insurance and WSIB. We believe in being prepared both on and off the job.

Unfortunately, we do not provide services in Quebec at this time.

We’ve been in the business of serving customers for over 15+ years! Contractors can be unreliable (we don’t blame them, they’re wearing too many different hats), very expensive, and busy. On the other hand, some claim to be cheaper, but offer unrealistic solutions or leave you hanging with an incomplete job with no way out. In our outrage, we decided to fully professionalize the business of affordable and realistic landscaping for the average home owner. We don’t believe that two local handymen are adequate, nor do we believe that a lawn should be $10,000 to $50,000 as some executive landscapers say.

The establishment of your new lawn requires maintenance watering. The lawn should be kept lightly damp where water does not pool or puddle. Keep an eye on the weather, and adjust your watering until it has shown significant growth (approx. four weeks). With installation, we will be able to provide you a maintenance document with a water schedule to follow.

Your sod should be watered enough to thoroughly soak the first few inches of soil for the first week or so laying the sod. This should be accomplished with about five to ten minutes of watering two to three times a day, depending on the weather. All turf manufacturers warranty their turf for 10-15 years. After installation, we also provide a 3 year warranty on the entire service! However, we use all proper installation techniques to provide optimal drainage and ensure the longest life for your turf.
